Surface Preparation |
The floor, on which there will be application, should be cleaned of all loose parts, oil and other chemicals and the defects on the surface are repaired with CVC TH Repair Mortar. If the temperature of the surface, where the application will take place, is above 25°C, surface is moistened and saturated. |
Preparation |
25 kg powder material is poured into 6-7 liter (it may vary depending on air temperature) of clean and cool mixing water and with a low-speed and suitable mixer, a smooth homogeneous mixture is obtained in 3-4 minutes. Water shouldn’t be added to powder material |
Application |
After resting the mixture for 3-5 minutes it is stirred again, it is pulled in one direction with a fine-toothed combed trowel which is suitable for the ceramic size. Ceramics are bond over the mortar which is combed in 15-20 minutes. During adhesion desired joint gap is left between ceramics; and in order to ensure full contact of the mortar on the surface to the ceramic, it is gently pressed and made sure it floats in the mortar. Mortaring operation should be made approximately 24 hours later in wall applications and 48 hours later in floor applications. It is recommended to use a suitable CVC DD Joint Filler in the joints. |
Points to Pay Attention |
• Do not use mortar whose exposure time has expired or become crusted. Hardened mortar shouldn’t be watered.
• Applications should be protected from rain, frost, wind, direct sunlight and high temperature during the first 24 hours. |
