Granite and Natural Stone Adhesive
Product Description This is cement-based, single component adhesive which has high stability, easy to use and extremely economical. It is used for bonding tiles, ceramics, granite and marble on cement based surfaces like concrete, plaster and screed.
C2: Enhanced cement based adhesive.
Product Number 403
Areas of Application • Used on granite, marble, ceramics, tiles, decorative bricks, glass mosaic, artificial and natural stones where great adherence is desired,
• On ceramic tiles that have less absorptive characteristics,
• In wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, terraces, swimming pools, and water tanks,
• On cement based bricks, bricks, gypsum (with primer) dry wall (with primer), prefabricated lightweight concrete, anhydrite floorings (with primer), floor heating systems, and on existing ceramic surfaces,
• On surfaces with floor heating systems, industrial floors, and all surfaces that are susceptible to shrinkage or thermal movements,
• On surfaces that has low absorption and primers are not desired,
• On structures with vertical and horizontal applications suitable for interior and exterior applications.

Storage/Shelf Life Shelf Life is approximately 6 months. Products must be kept in dry and cool environments. Maximum 6 bags must be stacked on top of each other.
Substrate Preperation The substrate must be cleaned of all loose parts, oil and other chemicals and the substrate must be repaired with CVC RM repair mortar. If the temperature of the surface is above 25°C moist the surface. Under normal circumstances use of primer is not necessary. In case CVC Primer should be used.
Mixing CVC GA GRAY-WHITE
25 kg. of powder must be added into about 6,75-7,00 liter of fresh clean water (may vary according to weather conditions, never add water into powdered product) and is mixed for 3-4 minutes with a low revolution mixer until a homogenous mix is achieved.
Application Method/Tools After the mixture is rested for 3-5 minutes it is mixed one final time and is applied with a notched trowel in a unilateral direction.
Under normal weather conditions ceramics are adhered within 20 minutes. Depending on the conditions open time can shorten. During the application appropriate grout spacing is obtained and in order to maximize mortar contact a slight compression is applied on the granite. The grout application must be carried out within 12-24 hours dependent on floor or wall application. An appropriate CVC DD grout is recommended.
Points to Pay Attention • Do not use expired products or any packing that has formed crusting. In any circumstance do not add water on to cured mortar. Do not use more water than suggested amount. Adding water to aerated mortar will inhibit the performance of the mortar.
• Only apply on rigid surfaces.
• Do not exceed the suggested thickness.
• Concrete surfaces must be at least 28 days old.
• Gypsum surfaces must be at a minimum 10 cm. thickness and maximum 5% humidity level.
• Applications must be protected from rain, frost, sunlight and extreme heat for the first 24 hours.
